Looking for this year’s Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals on Rocket Languages? We’ve rounded up all of their sales and discounts below
Rocket Languages is one of my favorite language learning apps. With engaging audio lessons, detailed grammar instruction, and effective post-lesson drills, it consistently gets better grades than other language learning apps in my reviews and comparisons. So if you’ve decided to take the plunge and purchase a subscription to Rocket Languages, we’ve pasted their Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals below.
Rocket Languages Black Friday & Cyber Monday Sales
Rocket Languages is easily one of my favorite apps of all time. I have used it for Spanish, French, German, and Italian, all with great success. Some of their courses, like Korean, are still a little limited in scope, but for most languages, it outranks Duolingo, Rosetta Stone, and Babbel in my book. This is simply a fantastic language learning program that has been effective for me.
The one big issue with Rocket, however, is the fact that it is only offered in one-time purchase, lifetime plans. You can not sign up for month-to-month access and cancel whenever you want.
You purchase access to Rocket Languages once, and you own the course forever (including future course updates). This can be a good or bad thing depending on your point of view.
I don’t like how it’s a big, one-time hit to my wallet, but I do like how I don’t have to worry about my credit card being charged every month and forgetting about it.
In any event, let’s break that pricing model down in a bit more detail.
Rocket Languages Pricing & Options
For most Rocket Languages courses, they offer three different “levels.” Level 1 is for beginners, Level 2 is for intermediate learners, and Level 3 is for advanced.
As such, you can purchase access to just Level 1, Levels 1 and 2 as a bundle, or the complete set with all three levels for full access.
It’s clear based on pricing, however, that they want you to purchase all three levels. Here’s a breakdown of their full retail prices:
Level 1 = $149
Levels 1 & 2 = $299
Levels 1, 2 & 3 = $449
Put another way, full retail, Rocket Languages charges $150 per level.
However, you will never have to pay those full retail prices. That’s right, never.
Year round, Rocket Languages discounts each package. Any day of the year you can find a coupon code for 17% to 42% off. Here are the standard sales prices:
Level 1 = $99 (i.e. 33% off)
Levels 1 & 2 = $249 (i.e. 17% off)
Levels 1, 2 & 3 = $259 (i.e. 42% off)
Again, those are their standard, year-round prices which you can find anytime. Now, on Black Friday and Cyber Monday, those typical sales get boosted.
This Year’s Deal
On Black Friday and Cyber Monday this year, you can get any one of their three packages for 60% off. Here’s how that translates to actual prices:
Level 1 = $59 (i.e. 60% off)
Levels 1 & 2 = $119 (i.e. 60% off)
Levels 1, 2 & 3 = $179 (i.e. 60% off)
This is the absolute best deal of the year you will find with Rocket Languages. I have never once seen them offer lower prices than 60% off.
And just being honest, that is an objectively good price for this program. Babbel and Rosetta Stone each typically cost around $12 per month.
Thus, if you’re considering the complete Rocket bundle with all three levels, your payback period is just 15 months. It is not often that I complete a language program in under 15 months, so chances are this will be more cost effective for you anyway as compared to a more traditional month-to-month pricing model.
In terms of how to get that savings, just grab the coupon code above and apply it on the pricing page linked above. Note that the 60% discount will only appear with the code applied at checkout – it won’t otherwise show up automatically on the Rocket website.
Anyway, happy holidays and enjoy your new Rocket Languages course!
