Prep Agent Review
Discover the pros and cons of using Prep Agent to help you prepare for your national and state real estate exams
If you’re getting ready for your real estate exam, finding the right study materials can make all the difference. Prep Agent offers a variety of resources, including videos, live webinars, flashcards, and a detailed ebook, designed to cater to different learning styles. In this review, we’ll dive into what Prep Agent has to offer and whether it’s a good fit for your exam prep.
Given that this is a lengthy and detailed review, please find jump-to links above to help you quickly navigate this article.
What Is Prep Agent?
Prep Agent is an online platform that helps people study for their real estate licensing exams. To be clear, Prep Agent does not offer pre-licensing courses (i.e. it is only for exam prep). If you still need to complete your pre-licensing real estate education to be eligible for your exams, be sure to check out Aceable Agent, The CE Shop or Kaplan.
Instead, Prep Agent offers a mix of study tools like video lessons, live webinars, flashcards, and an ebook to help you learn the material in whatever way works best for you. It’s all designed to make tricky real estate concepts easy to understand, whether you’re watching a video or diving into practice questions.
Prep Agent Subscription Options & Pricing
If you’re looking to get your real estate license without spending too much, Prep Agent is a great option. Their one-month subscription costs around $79, and if you need more time to study, their three-month plan is just $99.
Either way, you’re looking at spending under $100, which is impressive compared to competitors like CompuCram, who charge over $100. Overall, Prep Agent offers excellent value for the price.
What We Like About Prep Agent
Now that we’ve discussed how Prep Agent works, and how much their courses cost, let’s talk about the strengths of their study materials.
Engaging Video Lessons
First, I have to highlight Prep Agent’s video lessons—they’re absolutely fantastic, especially if you’re a visual learner. With over 75 fun and engaging animated videos, they break down core concepts in a way that’s super clear and easy to understand.
The animations keep you engaged and let you see the concepts in action, making them much easier to remember. Bottom line: if traditional reading-heavy study methods aren’t your thing, these videos are a game-changer.
Convenient Audio Lessons
In addition to the video lessons mentioned above, Prep Agent offers hours of audio lessons, perfect if you’re always on-the-go, or if you’re more of an auditory learner.
They’re super convenient for listening while driving, working out, or doing household chores. The lessons are clear and concise, making it easy to absorb the material without having to sit down and read or watch a video. So if you need to fit studying into a busy schedule, these audio lessons can be a real lifesaver.
Digital eBook
Next, let’s talk about Prep Agent’s 100+ page ebook, which is a fantastic resource, especially if you prefer learning through reading. It’s written in a clear, easy-to-understand style, making it great for breaking down tricky concepts.
Our team really appreciates how it caters to traditional learners who prefer a structured, text-based approach. Plus, having all the key information in one place makes studying super convenient.
Live Online Webinars
Next up, Prep Agent’s live online webinars are an excellent option if you thrive on real-time interaction with expert instructors. Held five times a week, they cover a wide range of exam topics and vocabulary, so there’s always something new to explore.
They’re ideal for those who want a deeper understanding of specific subjects or need structured guidance. Plus, the ability to ask questions and get immediate feedback from experienced instructors makes everything click more easily.
Interactive Flashcards
Lastly, Prep Agent’s interactive flashcards and vocabulary worksheets are fantastic tools for quickly reviewing key terms and testing your knowledge. They’re perfect for reinforcing essential vocabulary, and the interactive format keeps you engaged.
If you’re looking for an easy way to ensure those definitions stick, these resources are a must.
What We Don’t Like About Prep Agent
Now that we’ve discussed the positives, it’s only fair we flip the script and discuss the negatives as well.
No Mobile App
The first downside is that Prep Agent doesn’t have a mobile app, which is a bit of a letdown. To be fair, you can access your PrepAgent account on any mobile browser, and the user experience is solid.
However, having a dedicated app would make studying on-the-go much more convenient. Hopefully, they’ll consider adding one in the future, as it would make things even more flexible for those with busy schedules.
No Pass Guarantee
Next up, another drawback is that Prep Agent doesn’t offer a pass guarantee like some of its competitors. While they do provide a five-day money-back guarantee if you’re not satisfied—which is nice—it’s not quite the same as a pass guarantee.
Content Access Period
Lastly, I wish Prep Agent offered a longer content access period. As I mentioned earlier, the longest subscription they offer is three months, which may not be enough for busy professionals or parents who need more time to prepare for their real estate exams.
In comparison, some competitors offer up to six months of access, which could be more accommodating for those with tighter schedules.
Verdict: Is Prep Agent Worth It?
After using and reviewing their courses and study materials, our team thinks Prep Agent is worth the money. While we have a couple of minor complaints, Prep Agent overall offers excellent value.
Their subscription plans are very affordable compared to most competitors, and they cover all the bases with their study resources. Whether you prefer reading, audio lessons, videos, or live webinars, there’s something for every learning style. Plus, the quality of the content from Prep Agent is top-notch.
Bottom line: if you’re looking for a comprehensive, budget-friendly option to prepare for your real estate exams, Prep Agent is definitely worth considering.
Prep Agent offers a one-month subscription for around $79 and a three-month subscription for about $99. Both options provide excellent value compared to many competitors in the market.
