Video Review: Is AceableAgent Good?
In the video above, John from the Test Prep Insight team breaks down the pros and cons of the AceableAgent pre-licensing courses and exam prep materials. For more detail, be sure to continue reading our full written review below.
AceableAgent Cost & Course Options
Although AceableAgent offers post-license courses and continuing education classes, the company is primarily known for their pre-licensing courses and exam prep materials.
For most states, AceableAgent offers three different packages:
Basic – includes state-approved pre-license course and practice exam questions
Deluxe – everything listed above plus more exam prep materials such as flashcards and ebooks
Premium – everything in Basic and Deluxe plus live webinars and live Q&A
Now obviously, the cost of the company’s packages vary by state and the number of pre-licensing course hours required, but let’s go ahead and compare AceableAgent against some of their primary competitors so you can idea of how their pricing stacks up against others in the industry.
For example, AceableAgent’s most popular option for Texas, their Deluxe Package, costs around $580, whereas the comparable package from Colibri Real Estate for Texas is priced closer to $740.
Those two examples give you an idea of how much cheaper the courses from AceableAgent are compared to others in the industry. Their courses are definitely near the more affordable end of the spectrum.
Plus, it’s worth mentioning that AceableAgent regularly offers sales and special promotions so be sure to check for coupon codes before buying. We usually see their packages discounted anywhere from 10 to 20% off.
AceableAgent States
AceableAgent currently offers pre-licensing courses for only 14 states (listed below).
Arizona
California
Colorado
Florida
Georgia
Michigan
New York
North Carolina
Pennsylvania
South Carolina
Tennessee

Washington
For comparison purposes, Kaplan and Colibri offer pre-licensing real estate courses for over 40 different states.
What Our Team Likes About AceableAgent
Rather than waste your time running down a list of study materials and features that you likely already know about, we are instead going to focus on the what our team sees as the biggest strengths AND weaknesses of the AceableAgent courses after testing them out.
Ultimately, we think that is going be more helpful for you to determine whether AceableAgent is the right online real estate school for you and your learning style.
Multiple Instruction Methods
First, our team likes how AceableAgent varies their delivery methods. Rather than simply providing some boring, lengthy PDF for you to read like other online real estate schools like Colibri, AceableAgent presents the material in three primary formats – text with audio narration, video, and interactive quizzes.
The company does a great job of mixing the three formats into each lesson or sub-chapter. AceableAgent really keep you guessing, which in my opinion supports the learning process by keeping you actively involved and engaged.
Plus, we like how AceableAgent keeps each slide or page within the lessons short and concise. The material is presented is bite-sized, digestible chunks so that you don’t slip into a boring, repetitive state of mind.
Overall, our team just really appreciated AceableAgent’s approach to learning – it’s just much more engaging and enjoyable than most other online real estate schools.
Audio Narration
AceableAgent is an excellent choice for auditory learners since the company provides audio narration for the text portions of their lessons. This means you don’t need to spend hours reading like you do with other online real estate schools. Instead, AceableAgent essentially does the work for you.
Plus, the narrator of the lessons is actually really good. Luckily, it’s not some boring professor talking in a monotone voice. The narrator actually uses inflection, pauses and tone to get his points across, almost as if you are listening to a podcast or an audio book.
Bottom line, it’s just nice that your eyes don’t have to be glued to your phone or computer at all times. You can give your eyes a rest and knock out chapters while walking your dog, gardening, or doing the dishes.
The mobile app from AceableAgent is flat out awesome. It’s modern, intuitive, and super easy-to-use. For the record, other real estate schools, like The CE Shop for example, don’t even offer a mobile app so the fact that AceableAgent’s is rock solid is a big deal.
Honestly, between the podcast style lessons, and the fact the company offers a stellar mobile app, I think AceableAgent is the best online real estate school for busy professionals and students who need to be able to study on-the-go.
Again, keep in mind that The CE Shop and Colibri do not offer mobile apps for their students.
Ace Or Don’t Pay Guarantee
It’s definitely worth mentioning that AceableAgent offers an “Ace Or Don’t Pay Guarantee”.
Essentially how it works is that if you sign up for one of the company’s courses, complete all the hours required within the course, and subsequently don’t pass your state licensing exam after three attempts within 90 days of completing the course, then the company will refund your money.
Not all real estate schools offer this type of guarantee (see Kaplan) so it’s worth noting as you compare different options. For example, Real Estate U does not provide a pass guarantee.
What Our Team Does NOT Like About AceableAgent
Now that we have covered the strengths, let’s turn the tables and talk about weaknesses so you have a fair, balanced view of the AceableAgent courses.
Limited States
Unfortunately, AceableAgent doesn’t cover as many states as some of their competitors. The company currently only offers pre-licensing courses for 14 states, whereas some of their competitors like Colbiri and Kaplan cover almost the entire map.
Therefore, you should definitely make sure AceableAgent actually offers courses for your state before proceeding any further.
No Live Classes
All of AceableAgent’s content is 100% online, and it’s self-paced, meaning no one is there to hold your hand. You’re basically in the drivers seat.
There are no live classes or hardcopy study materials, so if you’re more of an old-school type of learner that prefers hardcopy prep books so you can highlight key points, dog ear important pages, and take notes in the margins, then you may want to go in a different direction.
It’s also the same story if you are not the self-starter type, and instead need a set live class schedule to hold yourself accountable or whether you just prefer learning via live instruction so you can ask instructors questions on the fly and interact with your peers.
Now to be fair, if you opt for one of AceableAgent Premium packages, you do get access to live webinars and Q&A sessions, but still, it’s not quite the same as well-thought out, organized classes.
No Notes Feature
Lastly, I wish there was an easier way to take notes or bookmark key topics/concepts to review later within the AceableAgent digital platform and mobile app.
Instead, you sort of have to keep notes yourself in a separate word document or physical notebook, but then of course, it makes it difficult to go back later and find exactly where you were.
At the end of the day, it’s not the end of the world, but it is a small annoyance that I thought I’d mention.
Verdict: Is AceableAgent Worth It?
Time to answer the big question – are the pre-licensing courses and exam prep materials from Aceable Agent worth it?
Well, after using and reviewing the company’s courses and study materials, I think the answer is a resounding yes. Not only are their courses reasonably priced, but I also really like how AceableAgent delivers their educational content in a variety of ways, especially the podcast style lessons. Also, let’s not forget about their modern, easy-to-use mobile app.
Honestly, if you consider yourself a new-school type of learner that likes to study on-the-go, it’s just plain hard to beat AceableAgent. Really the only circumstances in which I’d steer you away from AceableAgent is if you either want live classes or hardcopy prep books.
