AceableAgent and Real Estate U have become popular online real estate schools among students thanks in large part to their low prices and streamlined curriculum. In this article, we compare the real estate pre-licensing courses and exam prep materials from both companies so you can a reach a decision as to which school to sign-up for. That way, hopefully you can become a licensed real estate professional with as little as stress as possible.

In order to keep this video narrowly focused and actually helpful for you, I am going to focus on the major differences between these two real estate schools as opposed to simply providing an overview of each.
With that in mind, let’s start with the advantages of going with AceableAgent for your real estate education needs.
More Engaging Lessons
To put it simply, the AceableAgent lessons are just more engaging and interesting than the lessons from Real Estate U (same story with the lessons from The CE Shop).
This is due to the fact that AceableAgent utilizes a few different delivery methods – video, text with audio narration, and interactive quizzes. The company does a great job of mixing these three formats into each chapter, which helps keep the learning experience fresh and entertaining.

Real Estate U, on the other hand, only delivers their content through text with narration (there is no video component).
Plus, I have to say, I wasn’t a big fan of the narrator within the Real Estate U lessons. It’s just a monotone, computerized voice reading a script, whereas the AceableAgent narrator actually sounds like a human. He uses pauses, inflection and humor to deliver the material, almost as if you are listening to a podcast.
All in all, I just prefer AceableAgent’s lessons over Real Estate U’s by a pretty good margin.
Convenient Mobile App
The next win for AceableAgent is the fact they offer a mobile app, whereas Real Estate U does not. To be clear, this is not just some clunky app used for marketing purposes – it’s actually legit. The app is modern, fast, and easy-to-use.
AceableAgent makes it easy to study on-the-go
Therefore, what I would say is that if you have a full-time job, you’re a student, or you have little kids at home, and you plan on knocking out lessons over your lunch break, in-between classes, or while you’re waiting to pick up your kids from soccer practice, then AceableAgent is an excellent option.
Their mobile app just makes it super convenient to study whenever and wherever you are. In all honesty, I actually think AceableAgent is one of (if not) the best online real estate school for people who need to study on-the-go at a moment’s notice.
Better User Experience
In my opinion, AceableAgent offers the better user experience overall. Yes, the mobile app definitely plays a part in that, but I’m more so referring to the fact that Real Estate U dictates how fast you can complete chapters.

The company puts a timer on each page, and you’re not allowed to advance until the timer runs out. It’s super annoying. So even if it only takes four minutes for you to read the text, you have to sit there and wait for another 6 to 8 minutes before you move on.
Whereas with AceableAgent, you do not have this issue. Once you are done watching a video, or reading/listening to the text portion of a lesson, you can move ahead, and continue progressing towards your goal. Therefore, from a pure annoyance standpoint, I highly recommend AceableAgent over Real Estate U (same story with The CE Shop in comparison to Real Estate U).
Pass Guarantee
Lastly, this one is pretty simple – AceableAgent offers a pass guarantee, while Real Estate U does not.
How it works is that if you sign up for one of AceableAgent’s courses, complete all the required pre-licensing hours and exam prep materials, and then subsequently do not pass your licensing exam after three attempts, then AceableAgent will refund your money (similar to Colibri Real Estate).
It’s a nice insurance policy, but for some reason, Real Estate U does not. They only offer a 30 day refund policy following your purchase.
Now that you have a better understanding of what AceableAgent has to offer, let’s turn the tables here and talk about the advantages of going with Real Estate U.
Slightly More Affordable
Both companies land near the more affordable end of the real estate education industry, and are very close to one another in terms of pricing, but technically Real Estate U is the cheaper option.
A look inside the Real Estate U course
For example, in California, Real Estate U’s most popular package costs around $275, whereas AceableAgent’s comparable package (their Deluxe bundle) costs around $300. It’s the same story in Florida too – $225 for Real Estate U and $230 for Aceable.
Therefore, Real Estate U is cheaper, but really it’s a pretty negligible difference.
However, what I will say here is that AceableAgent seems to be more aggressive with sales and special promotions. For example, I usually see AceableAgent discount their California and Florida packages by around $50 or so.
Downloadable Study Materials
While I’m not a big fan of the Real Estate U lessons, I do have to say I like their downloadable materials.
Not only does the company provide a bunch of different infographics that you can download that are chalk full of need to know information, but they also include a digital e-book that you can access on your phone or download and print.
Real Estate U offers helpful infographics
Now obviously, this e-book is not as convenient as AceableAgent’s mobile app, but it’s a nice study tool to have your disposal. That way, if you’re more of an old-school type of student that prefers learning via textbooks, you can print the e-book and take it with you wherever you go for some quick study sessions.
Stellar Exam Prep Notes
Lastly, I really like Real Estate U’s exam prep materials. They’re sort of like Cliff Notes – you know the study guides we had as kids to essentially bypass actually reading the books that were assigned in our classes.
That’s basically how you can think of Real Estate U’s prep materials. The company does a great job of condensing all the need-to-know information by section down into highly digestible bullet points.
Helpful notes to get you prepared for your licensing exam
For example, in Florida, Real Estate U knows there will be seven questions regarding authorized relationships, duties and disclosures, and summarizes the key points to remember in order to answer those seven questions. That way, you can quickly review the most crucial information as a refresher as your state licensing exam approaches.
Verdict: Which Online Real Estate School Is Better?
After using and reviewing both company’s courses, there’s no question that AceableAgent is the better option.
Sure, Real Estate U score points in few areas, like their Cliff Notes style exam prep materials, but other than that, it’s pretty much a clean sweep in favor of AceableAgent.
Not only are their lessons more engaging, but they also offer their students a dynamite mobile app, and better overall user experience. Not to mention, AceableAgent offers a pass guarantee, while Real Estate U does not.
Therefore, considering pricing between the two companies is extremely close, I’d recommend going with AceableAgent for your real estate education needs.
