About Lara
I’m Lara DerManuelian, the founder of Test Prep Insight. Education runs in my family. I’m proud to come from a long line of teachers, educators, and language specialists. I earned my undergraduate degree from UC Berkeley and spent more than a decade in public relations before returning to what I’ve always loved – teaching. I’ve taught math, science, and English in both public and private schools across Los Angeles and the San Francisco Bay Area, working with students from kindergarten through 12th grade. I’ve also tutored high school students preparing for college entrance exams like the SAT, GRE, and others. Helping students grow and succeed has always been incredibly rewarding for me.
In addition to teaching, I speak several languages including Armenian and Spanish, and I’ve always had a deep appreciation for how language connects people. With Test Prep Insight, my mission is to provide clear, in-depth, and unbiased educational content that helps learners at every stage; whether you’re preparing for a major exam or exploring a new language.
